Many will be grieved to. learn that Captain Doyle, who was well ktiowu as master of several steamers on the New Zealand coast, has died at his residence m Brougham street Wellington. The deceased gentleman was 52 years of age and succumbed to pleuisy, brought on by overwork. Until quite recently he had charge of the s.s Stormbird. The New Zealand Industrial Gazette for the month of December is to hand, and, as usual, contains a great deal of matter interesting to both to manufactures and producers.
