The last special meetiug of the Picton OoalCompany has beendeclared illegal.an insufficient number of shareholders having been present. No further meeting j wilt be held until the annual general meeting on the 2nd February, when the directors will submit a report and bal-ance-sheet, and counter proposals to that | of liquidation will be brought forward. Dunedi.v, Dec. 28. ! There will be at least forty delegates present at the Trades and Labor CongresH, to be held m Dunedin on the Bth January.
