From hill slopes, frofc juvenile frolics, and umbrageous screens, all converge to the rustic tables, groaning with plenty and Variety. The large * company, the good cheer, on the green sward, all bathed in sunshine, seemed to be the maximum of enjoyment. Words of welcome from Mr Dixon, of cheer from Rev. E. S. Bunn, and thanks to the ladies from Messrs Stubbs and Dillon, was followed by games and singing. . On our way home we have just got over the railway crossing, when we had to flounder through or founder in bog one, we found ourselves too much anchored in the middle ; releasing the horse we took to mud larking, and fishing up our belongings, (midsummer) shades of Macadam be upon us !, by the time we pass- ; ed throe like life escapes, we pronounced* the road execrable.
