Honorable Mention.
« The illnminated scroll address presented to Mr W. T. Wood, the completion of which was entrusted to Mr G. E. Hawkins, is now framed and ready to be sent to the recipient, m Tasmania. The taste and skill displayed therein re] fleet most creditably on the artist whose handiwork is exceptionally cleverly executed and ornamental m the highest degree. We are sure the memento will always give Mr Wood much pleasure, and that it will be/ admired wherever, it is shewn. The .poinute details must have entailed great care, as well as taste and perseverance,- and is a work of which the designer may well be proud, • ' as it shows true ; merit which cannot fail to be appreciated both by the recipient and those who testified by its -presentation their esteem and regarct for our : erstwhile townsman. We can .truthfully say' that a more tastefully executed or decidedly ornamental piece of work of the same description we have not prey viously-had the pleasure of examining. •
