To-morrow evening the .; Catholic Church Choir give a concert m aid of St. Patrick's Church m the Foresters ? Hall under Mr Harbot's leadership. A glance at the programme will at once assure any one at all musically inclined that I such a collection of both vocal and instrumental compositions are in'them- : selves an attraction; and having attended several' "of ' the rehearsals, we can'confidently recommend lovers of good music, .such. asthe advertised programme contains, to make a point of being present at the performance to-morrow evening. The programme opens m the first part with a selection from " Verdis" masterpiece " IlTrovatore " played on the organ with clarieont accompaniment, by ■ Miss ■ Flood ' and Mr Newconibe • respectively. This will be followed 'by the choir .singing the ■» %fAe " from Moxart's X2th Mass, after 1 ! which a beautiful composition entitled M Inclina ; ad me " will be rendered by bass soloist finishing with chorus. This latter is better known m musical circles as "'lncline thine ear." Following next are selections: from Farmer's Mass m B flat, the i solo parts being undertaken by the , Misses Newcombe and Hanlon, Mrs Holt and Messrs Dungan and Weight. A sacred "Aria " follows, succeeded by the choir rendering fhq " Kyrie " from Farmer's Mass, after which selections from Winter and Far--mer's masses viz., the " Agnus I)ei " and. " Dona Nobis " will bring the first part to a close. After an .interval of ten minutes the second part will open with an operatic selection from Aubu's " Ber, ,Frichutz," followed by an , excellently ' arranged programme oi songSiduetts, «tod recitations, &c, by members iof the "choir' and other local singers; The 'sale of the tickets we believe has been good, and we have no doubt, providing the weather is at all fine, the attendance wijl.be large.
