On the 25th instant,, at Peildiug, we held a very auccesful sale. The' bidding for cattle" was mbre spirited and we disposed, of nearly all the lotf under -the hammer. \VJe yarded oyet/iSQ.head of cattle and four pens of sheep andlambs and fealized th? following rates 1 :-— 3-yr steers; £3 18s 6d v : /2'i-yr steers, £3 ss ; 2to 2J steers, £2 17fi/6d ;-yea'rling steers, 34s ; yeariings and lß month, mixed, 278 6d ; yearlings,-mixed, 21s to 23s 6d ; 2^-yr heifers,-, near calving £2 13s ; forward sheop, 9a* fat lambics 8d to 4s lid ;-hacks;£7^s. % #.
