The Colonial Exhibition m 1886 will be presided over by H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, with a committee consisting of their Royal Highnesses the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of Connaught, and the Marquis of Lome, the Duke of Manchester, Marquis of Normanby, and Lords Derby and Rosebery, and the Agents-General of the Australasian colonies. Mr Owen has j been appointed secretary. The P. & O. steamship Rbme, from Melbourne (September 23), arrived at Plymouth to-day. The froenz meat from the Liguria is selling at 6d, and that by the Florida at 6^ per lb. Sir F. Dillon Bell, supported by the Agents-General, urged Lord Derby to strongly oppose the deportation of recidiviste to New Caledonia.
