Messrs Brown Brothers and Co., of i JPitt-street, Sydney, report upon the stock market there : on'; the 23rd October as follows .-—Fat. ..cattle : Market fairly supplied, and beef somewhat easier, but i prime quality bullocks sell well. We quote: : Best beef 33s 6d ? tp 35s per 1001 us ; second .quality, 30s ; inferior, 22s [ 6d-to 255. Fat sheep : The market is I firmer for good mutton. Best wedders ;in,wool worth 13s, 6d to, 14s6d ; shorn. do., 5s 6d to 9b Qd ; inferior sheep,' from sij Gd. Fat lambs ; The marKet is fully supplied. .Best crpss-breds m wool, to ! : I3s'; others^ 7s 6d to 5S ; siibrnj.frdin'4B;' 'Fat pigs : Tlie market is firm for porkers at 5d to 6d ; heavy pigs, 3£d to 4d per lb. florae market :,,The market during the week has been fully supplied with all classes at our bazaar (late Riss), i Caßtlereagh-Btreet. We sold buggy pairs to -80 guineas; single harness ! horses, 30 to 45 guineas ; hackneys, at 25 to 40 guineas; heavy draught, at£ 3? £42'; active dray horses, £28 to £35. At Catnperdowu Yards : Heavy colts and fillies, unbroken, from the Hunter River district. Colts, from £35 to £48 ; fillies, £25 to £30 ; making thehighest average * ol: any lot sold for some months.
