Now Zealand securities remain as follows : — 5 per cent. 10 40 loan, 104£ ; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 103, ex div. ; 4^ percent. 1879-19Q4 loan, 104| ; and, 4 per cent, inscribed stock at lO4|. . /-. ; . . . Wheat is unchanged. Adelaide, ex store, 368 ; New Zealand ditto,, 30s 6d to 335. Adelaide flour, ex wareboase, 245. ' Australian tallow— Average quality, beef, 34a ; mutton, 355. The wool market is quiet. Arrivals to date for next series of auctions, now amount to 90,000 bales. . The market rate of discount has advanced to 4 per cent., and is now equal to Bank rate.
