The interior of All Saints' Ch«roh last.eyejiiug presented ijni unusually grand and effective appearance, the occasion bejng the Dedication ]£esti^ val; opening service, and also the L inauguration of a chorister choir m connection' with the "church. The building- inside was decorated with 'beav^iVujl^d rare flowers and plants, the' communion table being arranged with a pavticulavjj 1 . pieasing' effect. Punoutally at 7.30 the choristers 12 m number being m charge of MvHarbott, (conductor), and followed by 12 adjiltf singevHall attired m snrplicea and cassock^ appeared at the entrance door, and the Rev* Mr Cojiiager having given out thehyoin commencing " Tue'GhutGh'a lone foundation, " this was sung by th~e procession of chorii\tc;rs, while , waUking': tixjin. the' door of the church, and. along tbe aisle to* their seats within the Chancel. Tbe Rev. Mr Copinger then opened the Bervicein;tb.e,:u'su:al way, the remain* ,4er of which was conducted throughout impressively. ' ' '** On, ward - Christian Soldiers" was notably effective, and was excellently rendered ty ' the choir. The sermon ' for the, occasion was preached by the Her. J, Jone*^ subject being rt Who are,thb Saints. 1 * An eloquent discourse from' the rev, gentleman was listened to attentively .by the largo con^regatioa preaenk, the budding being- well filled^mongsi those present being members of other denominations and their minisjtera. Mr Harbott deserves special jiraiae for the highly successful manner m which he had trained the choir, during the ; &6rt time the boys hiH' been * under his instruction.
