Three enterprising speolers from Wellington were also on the racecourse running a table purporting to be a shooting gallery and commenced | (laying a game called "Smut." In which a bushman detected them m the act oi cheat ing. Afree fight ensued and the bushman smashed up, the table, and the speelers got well cuffed by him.
