Acceptance, 3 sovs. To start at 11.30 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 15 sovs. Once round the course. Post entries. Entrance, 1 sov. Weight not to be under 10 stone. Open I to all horses that have never been nominated or eutered for any advertised race up to the time of starting for this race (hack races excepted). Jockeys to ride ia colours. To start at 12.15 p.m. 3. Maiden Plate of 40 sovs. Entrance 3 sovs. Weight for age. 1| miles. Open to all horses that have never won public money (hack races excepted) prior to date of entry. Any horse entered for Maiden Plate winning an . advertised race between the date of entry and date of race to carry a penalty of 51bs. To start at 1 p.m. 4. Open to all horses that have never won public money (hack races excepted) prior to date of entry, and that have been owned by bonafide residents in the Oroua County for six months prior to date of entry, and that have been trained in the said County. To start at 1.45 p.m. 5. Manawatu Racing Club Handicap of 200 sovs. Second horse to receive 25 sovs: from the stakes. Nominations 3 sovs. Acceptance 7 sovs. Distance ]^ miles. The winner of any Handicap to the value of 100 sovs. after the declaration of weights to carry 71bs extra. To start at 3.15 p.m. 6. Hack Race of 10 sovs^ Once round the course. Post entries. Entrance 1 sov. Catch weights over 9 stone. Open to all horses that have never won an advertised race (hack races excepted): The winner of this race to be offered for sale by auction immediately after the race, and any sum realised over <£20 to go to the funds of the Club. To start at 4 p.m. 7. Flying Handicap of 100 sovs. Nominations 2 sovs. Acceptance 4 sovs. Distance 6 furlongs. The wiuner of any Handicap to the :■ advertised amount of 100 sovs., after the decoration of weights, to , carry a penalty of 71bs. To start at 4.45 p.m. 8. Palmerston Plate Handicap of 50 sovs. Nominations 1 sov. Acceptance 3 sovs. Distance 1\ miles. The winner of any Handicap to the advertised value of 100 sovs., after, the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs. To start at 5.30 p.m. Nominations, will be received, addressed to the Secretary, at the Com-; mercial Hotel, Palmerston North, up to Saturday, the 15th November, at 8 p.m. Weights will be declared on Monday, Ist December. Entries and Acceptances close on Saturday, December 13th, at 8 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No Entry will be received for any Races except upon this condition, — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising out of the racing shall he decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this Programme shall he final. All Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money enclosed with name, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, in the case of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of the owner, and Colours of the Rider. Any Jockey riding except iu the colours entered will be fined 3 sovs. When two or more horses start (the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. All persons intending, to withdraw hoi ses are required to give Notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of tbe Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Rule shall pay a fine of 5 sovs. to the Race Fund. All races to be ruu under the W.J.C. Rules. Horsos walking over will only receive half the Stakes. No horse to save its stakes in any race except where otherwise specified. No Entries or Nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing.
