English Mails.
The Manawatu portion, pjf the 'Friscrt' mail shonld arrive by train this evening wa New Plymouth and Wangrtnui. the papier portion cftme thronjrh lust night, and forw:ijnled. by coach this liiorning, so that Napier will have its mails before Palmerston, although 120 miles further away. The reason probably is that the Napier bags coming separately would be put on board the train at New Plymouth, while the Manawntu mails wpu|d be included ; m the ft ew Plymouth or Wanganni bags. But still it .<eems a .strange anomaly that. Napier mails, which are actually taken through Palmerston m transit should be de4ivered iv the former place first, notwithstanding the distance and means of communication. <
