If the projectors of the, scheme for the erection of a Theatre for ' Palmer— ston decide to put up a buildinjr according to the plans uheady drawn out by Mr I>rcoinb, we will have a .structure which for oruuuiental beuuty ahd inside appointments will nval thcrse of mubh larger towns than Pajmei-aton North. The: seating is to i accommodate about 1500 people, and/ is arranged, excellently, consisting of dress circle with 130, seats, stall* (rear of orchestra/ ,3,3 seats and pit 13 seats, besides 2 private boxes ohfieach side of Klage. The stage to he 40 feet wide by 33 feet deep. Orchestia An the usual place aud enclosed. 4 dress-ing-rooms off ?ta£rc, the latter to have 7 shifting flies on .each side and three scene curtains. The dress circle to have two cloak rooms adjoining. The j main entrance to the circle and boxes to be at the front of the building, and then by doublb staircase. The entrance to pit and stalls from side, and Btage at rear. The height from ground to top of parapit to be 40 feet, ajid covering two a large shops on ground floor.
