Minutes of previous meeting and special meeting lead and conflfmed. Mr Taylor here came iv and took the chair. - Ihe following correspondence was read: — From A. Dundas re suitable, site for a. cemetery. . From Treasury re form of Debentures. From F. Bismarck requesting that his name be placed on the ratebook for section 16$ m place of John Tav« lor. Proposed by/Mr , WilHaruaon; and seconded by Mr Saxon— -That Me<wrs Iryine and Woodman be allowed to erect gates on the condition ttia't.thejr corduroy the approaches arid tfiVgates are properly bung wit.ii a * spring fastening- and the word- =" Public Road " painted on the top bar. Carried. "".... . :/;[ Proposed by Mr Bryce and second* ed by Mr Williarasou-^That • tho Commissioner of Crown Lands lie requested by this Board to reserve % site for a Public Cemetery at the top of Kirabolton Road and as the survey proceeds, two other such sites be reserved, one on the western side and one m a central position m the district. Carried. . Proposed by Mr Saxon and seconded by Mr Williamson— That the clerk write to the Commissioner of Crown Lands asking if he would be willing to make a deviation on the Pohangina Road whereby the swamp on the present road would be avoided. Carried. ' - % Resolved— -That the clerk write to Messrs Holcroffc and 7 Rictfartls s'instructing, them to forward a sate as per price quoted viz,, £12.j .- Accounts amounting to J&97 Os 8d were passed for payment.
