The steamer Jane Douglas is expected from Wellington to-day, and is advertised to leave again at 5 p.m. The schooner E. and D. Cameron, arrived m the river on Monday from Wellington. She left that port several days ago, and . encountered v very severe weather on the passage. She has not yet made the wharf owing to the absence of wind and a strong fresh m the river. The p.s. Lytteltou, m charge of Captain Buit, arrived fiom Wellington on Monday with 'a cargo of railway iron. Captain Holtz, of the B. and U. Cameron/reports that a small cutter, laden with smoked fish for Wanganui, is lying under Knpiti. She has twice made unsuccessful attempts to reach that port during the last 16 days. She is from one of the Sound ports.
