f Special to the Standard .) [by cable.] Sydnex, This* Day. Further cases of smallpox have occurred m Kent-street m the heart of the city, eight persons have been placed m quarantine. It has transpired that the Government has given notice to the Pacific Mail Company to terminate the San Francisco mail contract m November next, but that the service will; be continued for the full term of two years, that is until November 1885.
