FRANCE AND CHINA.
(by electric telegraph- copyright.) (reuters' telegrams.") Paki*>, Sept. 11 M. Ferry was" interviewed to-day by a newspaper correspondent with regard to the Franco-Chinese difficulty, The report of the remarks which were made by M. Ferry proves that the statement published by the LeJS r ai tonal yesterday is entirely incorrect. The French GoTernment does not propose to extend warlike operatians m China. Beyond tbe measures previously announced no change has occurred m Admiral Courbett's plans. The rumor that France would issue a formal declaration of war against China is also denied.
