CANTERBURY v. OTAGOi
(VNITKD PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedik, August 31. The interprovincial football match, between Canterbury and Otago, was played yesterday m the presence of about seven thousand spectators. The greatest interest was taken m the match, which was one of the finest ever played between the provinces, Canterbury won by a gaol, potted from the field , by Francis to a try gained by James Allan, the score being four points, to two. Otacjo has now won four. ! matches, and Canterbury one, wh^le three have been drawn. ( ; / , ; , . / ; . . .■ . ;
