Rangitikei and Manawatu Poultry & Produce Society.
A meeting m connection with the above was held on Saturday afternoon, m the Town .Hall. Mr Lin ton m the chair (m the absence Of Mr Snelson), m a few brie remarks introduced. Mr Retenieyer, who explained the objects of the Society: The meeting was very enthusiastic m giving the Society every support. On the motion of Mr R. S. Abraham, seconded by Air R. K. Reid, it was resolved — That a subcommittee be appointed for the purpose of canvassing this district for members, ahd_ generally giving assistance m csirrying out the bnsiness connected with the futheranee of matters tending to promote the weifare of tliie Society. The following were suggested as a Committee -—Messrs Abraham, Haultain, Caverbill, Rei^'Lintbn, Snelson, McNeil, WaJdegrave. ; Sly, Podevin, Hitchiugs, [A- H. Walker] , Pratt,' Whibley, Akers£ Gaidcs, ' 'and Ferguson, and that a meeting of the Committee be held on Saturday, 6th September, 1884, 'at 3 p.m., at the Town Hull, 'Palmerstoh North.
