Mr Stout arrived by special traiu at Lyttelton at 2.40 p.m., and left by the tug steamer Lyttelton, engaged specially from the Harbor Board at £2 per hour. Mr C. W. The hotelkeepers of the boroughs of South Dunedin and Caversham have got up petitions for presentation to the Lioensing Committees m their districts, praying for the extension of their licenses till eleven o'clock. Auckland, August 15. The women's petition to Palliameut for female suffrage on the licensing law b*.s been signed by 1700.
