Supposed Shipwreck.
ITTNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Inverc\kgill, August 4. The Rivertou police report that a lifeboat belonging to the barque Marie Ange has been found iv Doughhy Bay, about two miles west of CeTac Bay. The natives say they first saw it on the 2nd inst. The boat is 18ft long, and is badly stove and otherwise damaged. Nothing further was found. Bluff, August 4. Captain Tozer, of the Kingarooma, reports seeing a larg« tire on Red Head, Preservation Inlet, last night When pa ;sing Purse., tir a light was also semi, but the tires were some distance from the lighthouse, and could not be seen from (here, as the land <*hnt out the view. The fires are supposed to be signals from shipwrecked mariner^ and may have some connection with the medicine chest found on Orepuke beach last week, marked " Ship Marie Ange."
