AFTER the present month, our Collector will call EVERY FOURTH MONDAY on all Town Subscribers for the amount of their subscriptions lo the Manawatu j Standard. He will make his first round on Monday, 4th of August, when a settlement of all arrears of subscriptions till date is particularly requested. This new arrangement is', made at the special request of a considerable number of town subscribers, who prefer to make their payments monthly to letting them run for longer periods, believing m the prin ciple that short accounts are * est, and ai c most easily met. Weekly and fortnightly subscribers will also be i taken on, and their amounts called for m accordance with the special arrangements they make. It is believed that this system will prove more satisfactory, m all respects, both to our subscribers and ourselves, than having the accounts standing over tor periods varying fioni 6 to 18 months', when difficulty is often experienced m collecting them, and mutual dissatisfaction ensues.
