The Lyttelton Times reviewing the result of the election, says ; — " The great question m most men's minds now is what will the Government do, being m a hopeless minority f Their best course is to resign, with the usual recommendation to the Governor. It is, of course, impossible for them to advise his Excellency to send for Sir George Grey — and it it were not, it would bo impossible for his Excellency, for very obvious reasons, to accept such advice. The man to send for is the man for whom the largest number of the Opposition has declared. He can find a modus vivendi with the other members of the Opposition, because, like himself, they are pledged against the Government. That man is. Sir Julius
