The Recidiviste Queation.
(electric telegraph.— : coptbight) (SPXOIAIi TO TOUTED PRESS ASSOCIATION.* London, July 14. - The Beoidiviste Committee intend to examine M. Ferry, the French Premier. The Times has published Mr Alexander Stuart's (Premier of New South Wales) and Augustus Loftua' minutes on the recidiviste question. Earl Roseberry has withdrawn his motion on the recidiviste question. Earl Granvillo and Lord Lyons are persisting m their friendly, though urgent appeals ' to the French sense of justice. St James 1 Gazette praises the moderation displayed m the minutes by Mr Alexander Stuart on the Recidiviste question. July 15. The Tims states that the silence of Earl Derby with regard to the recidiviste question will strengthen the Australian feeling of his lack of sympathy with the interests of colonists, and that it is a very grave mistake .to suppose it possible to ignore or suppress, the complaints against the recidiviste schnme. The proposed exchange of the Falkland Island for that of New Caledonia is considered improbable. ,
