It is known that tho Standard is a supporter of Mr Macarihuv, but 1 am sure the other candidate cannot but feel gratified that each one of bis meetings is so honestly reported m your paper. I think these reports are most creditable to you and your stuff, and I am sure, they have given the settlers information on Mr Fraser's views which would otherwisenot have been available.
