The Rangitikei Election.

The following letter appears m 'the Marton paper, and speaks for itself :— Sir^When it becomes necessary to descend to deliberate falsehood with a view to damage Mr Stevens m the contest, the hopes of the supporters of the other candidates must have gone down very low ; and "Truth's" statement m last night's paper, that Mr Stevens has promised to do all m his power to get the junction of the central line at Greatford, I say is deliberately false. It may be news to "Truth," but it is just as well that he should know it, that neither directly or indirectly has Mr Stevens promised us anything, and the block vote he will get here will be because he has not descended to mean "political dodges." —I am etc., A. E. Remington. , .Bulls, July Bth, 1884.
