Lord St. Leonards, who was committed for trial on the Bth May for an indecent asiault ov a servent girl named Cole, has been sentenced to 7 weeks imprisonment. Having been m gaol since his eom initial, his gen* tence dated from that time and he is now released. Twelve deaths occurred at Marseilles aud eleven at Toulon on Saturday from cholera. In consequence of cholera, threefourth* of the inhabitants of Toujon have fled. The death is announced of the rev. Thomas W. Aveling, pastor of Kingsland Independent congregational church. Four off-coast cargoes of Australian wheat have been sold at an average of 39s 3d. The fall of Berber is still . uncertain. The fall of Dongola is daily expected. The Governor's loyalitv is suspected and is supposed he it is intriguing with the enemy. The Arabs will advauce after the end of the Mahommedan month against Ramadan. Five hundred Egyptiansjare stationed at Wadv Haifa, and the same number at Korosko, and three thousand with artillery at Assouam. The Souakirn railway is commenced.
