There must be a considerable number of adult males m Palmerston and other parts of the Manawatu Electoral District whose names are not on the roll. The qualifications are two-fold — freehold and residential. Any man who lias attained the age of 21, and owns a freehold worth at least i? 25. is entitled tq a vote. . Any_ man who has been r twelve monins' m tfie^ Colony, and has resided for the past six months within the electoral district is also entitled to -a vote. / The sole condition is that he must register his name, and every properly entitled voter ought to do this without delay. The necessary forms can be procured at the Standard office, gratis, and we shall be happy to fill them up for any person, and take all other steps to place his- name on the roll.
