Kiwitea Road Board.

The usual monthly meetiriif of the Kiwitp.l Road was held at the Board's office, Feilding, on Monday, June 16, at 2 p.m. Wardens present — Messrs Taylor^ (Chairman), Saxon, Williamson and Bruce. Fiom Surveyor-Genoral ye road through section 175 Kiwitea. ; Proposed V»y Mr Taylor, seconded l-y Mr Bruce— That the Engineer do lay off the line through section 175 — Carried. Resolved — That the Secretary write and inform Mr Sinclair that the Board cannot do anything m reference to cutting a line to the Harbour Board Block. , ; Resolved — That Mr Bruce be allowed to fell the road line on the boundary of his property. The following tenders were opened for forming tho continuation of Taonui road : —Hennigan Bros., £54 18s; A. Diamond £99 ; Wilson & Geauge, £91 ; Younger & Laing, £51 6s lid • J. Ait ken, £44 14s, Proposed by Mr Saxon, seconded by Mr Taylor— That J. Aithcn's tender be accepted — Carried. Accounts amounting to £369 18s lOd were passed for pay tn out and the Board then adjourned.
