TO CORRESPONDENT.

Inquirer. — Precisely the same question was asked by a correspondent of the Wellington Post, viz., " During a dissolution have wo a Government?" and we give the reply given by that journal : — " Yes. If Major Atkinson obtains a dissolution his Ministry will hold office until after tho elections, and probably until tho meeting of the new Parliament. In the event of (he present Ministry resigning and Sir George Grey being sent for, he would probably form a new Ministry and then ask for a dissolution, m which case Sir George would hold office until after the elections."
