PALMERSTON v. MANCHESTER.

Although the weather was so wet, this match came off. Play was m two spills of thirty minutes each. In the first half hour a try was obtained by Templar, which was converted into a goal by Jackson Also, m the second spell, by a pplendid run, Templar secured another try, but the goal being very difficult was not ol>tained. The Palmerston forwards, with good play and keeping together, always kept the leather well m front of them. Stallard was m excellent form. The Feilding team had no show throughout the game. The passing was not so good, as players would Wait until caught before attempting to pass.
