Manchester Road Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the Manchester Road Board was held at the Board's otHce Feilding on Saturday June 7. Wurdens present — Messrs Macaithur, Linton, Bailey, Cotter and Lethbridge. Proposed by Mr Lcthbridge and seconded by Mr Cotter that Mr MacuitKui be Chairman for the ensuing year. — Carried. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was received from H. P. Jones regretting that he would not be able to attend the meeting of the Board. Also one from Mrs M. Crawford staling that she had sold her property at Hulcoinbe to Mr Cuff. Proposed by Mr Cotter and seconded by M.r Linton — That oirculars ba sent to all defaulting latepayeis giving them one month's notice to pay their special rate after which legal proceedings will be taken without favour. — Carried. Resolved that the clerk write and inform Mrs Crrwford that it will be necessary to obtain the consent of Mr A. Cuff* before any alteration can be nuide m the valuation roll or ratebook. Kesolved that the Engineer get McCrea's road laid off. Accounts amounting to £570 0s 6d were passed for payment.
