THE RECIDIVISTES BILL.
LrNDOX. June 3. The committee appointed by the French Senate have but slightly modified the llecidiviste Bill. In their report they approve of sending convicts to New Caledonia and Cayenne, and reject the proposal that Pluquot and Marquesas Islands should be chosen as the place to which prisoners should be exiled. The committee also recommend that six years' good conduct should entail a remission of the remainder of the sentence which a convict may have to serve.
