At a meetiug of the Salvation Army "to bring under tho notice of the Christian public the desirability that a special effort should ho made to rescue the perishing," about 100 weae present; fully half or whom were ladies. E. Baker J. P., m the chair. A solution was earned "That a committee be formed consisting of six persons for the purpose of aiding to rescue the fallen women of Wellington.
