The New Zealand football team opened their campaign at Pari-amatta to-day against tne County of Cumberland team, Tho weather was fine, but the ground hard. At the close of tho day's play the New Zealanders had scored 30 points, and the home team none. For the visitors T. KyaD secured one goal, and G. Helmore three. Roberts, Robinson, O'Donnell, and Lecky, each obtained two trios, and Taiaroa and W. V. Miltain (captain), three each. The Parramatta team displayed poor play, but that of the New Zealauders was much admired.
