Frozen Meat.

The consignment of meat taken away from Wellington by the British King, which left Lyttelton for London on Saturday, was the largest and most valuable ever forwarded from Wellington by the Gear Company. The shipment consisted of 8400 car cases of sheep, 12 tieices of corned beef, 1245 cases of preserved meat, and a quantity of frozen beef. By the same vessel the company sent away 466 casks of tallow. The corgo of meat weighed about 640,0001 bs, and was worth over £20,000. The Aorangi, which has just come up from the South, commeuced on Monday morning to load with meat frozen on board the hulk Ju'ilee, and will take to London over 5000 carcases on account of the Gear Company. The nest shipment will be by the Victory which returns to Wellington from the South early next month. When this s. earner takes her departure for London, the company will have forwarded no fewer than 18,000 carcases within three weeks.
