Young Men's Club.
There was a fair attendance of young men at the meeting convened by the Rev. Mr Coppinger for last night the inclement weather no doubt preventing a number from putting m an appearauce. Tbe objects of the proposed Club and Institute were freely discussed and a rough outline of future procedure resolved upon. For the present the offices lately occupied by Mr Warburton have been secured and it i 3 decided to throw the lower part of the building into a reading and social room the upper part to be used for lectures and public- meetings &c. A night school to be held once a week has also been arranged upon and when the Club has been fairly established with a sufficient number of members more definite arrangements will be made. For the present Mr Coppinger's idea is to get as mauy young men together as possible and endeavor to make them amuse and instruct each other for an hour or so during the evenings. It is to be hoped the young: men will avail themselves of the opportunity for self instruction thus afforded.
