Wellington, May 20. A fite occurred at the Arcade last night, which was extinguished m its incipient stage. It is believed to be a case of incendiarism, and the Wellington Underwriters Association offer £100 for information as to the perpetrators. It is stated that Her Majesty's ship Nelson, Commodore Erskine, will shortly visit Wellington. The skeleton found on the banks of the Clutha was quite unrecognisable, and has been buried without any inquest. The fire »t the Kaitangata coal mine is not so serious as at first thought. Work will be resumed at he end of the week.
