Lecture.
Mr Walton delivered a very able 'and interesting address lust night on the subject of Spiritualism. The lecturer surprised a good many among his audience by hi.s effective delivery and the style of his address. His voice, is not strong, but m other respects he. is fully competent to appear on any public platform to treat of the subject on which ho .is such an ardent enthusiast, which he has evidently studied deeply, and to which he must have devoted extensive and thoughtful research. With the subject matter of the discourse we did not m all points agree* -.but we are free to admit that the lecture delivered comprised a very interesting address, fiom which much information of a special character could be gleaned. Many .of- tho^e comprising hist night's audience would go again to hear Mr Walton speak on his favourite topic. That, he is himself sincere m his be.lief m the substantiality of the doctrine of spiritualism no one could doubt and that he would suocped: m leading others to his way of thinking would not be difficult to imagine from the. earnest impressive manner, of his delivery.
