THE ORIENTAL BANK.
The Court has directed the payment by the Oriental Bank of a sum of i? 90,000 lodged by the Japanese Government to redeem certain bonds. The Oriental Bank Corporation has despatched a special steamer to Mauritius to close the agencies m that island. The British shareholders m the Oriental Bank determined to form themselves into a defence committee to protect their interests.
