The Melbourne A rgns publishes a long account of a Salvatiou Army wedding, at which Major Barker presided. A song having .been. sung to the tune ot " Cheer boys, cheer," one of the leading officers of the army engaged m prayer, remarking that their brother and sister about to lie united di<l not marry for their salcos, but for the salvation of a perishing world, and m the hope that obey might he the ra earns of leading l'thousands to the foot of the Cross. The bridegroom was Major Thurman, m charge of the South Australian division, and the bride was Captain Eliza liaughton, wlio had distinguished herself m the cause m England. The marriage ceremony was read by Major Barker, and repeated by the bride and bridgrnom, who solemnly declared that they did not seek marriage simply to please themselves, but that they believed it would enable them to better serve and please Grod and work m the interests of the Salvation Army. The proceedings eluded with a collection.
