INCREASE OF THE GUARD AT BIRMINGHAM.

The military guard at the Birmingham Gaol has been increased so as to prevent any attempt to rescue the Fenian prisoners confined therein. This step has been taken m consequence of reports received by the authorities that the friends of the prisoners would probably make an effort to rescue them.
