(united press association.) Auckland, May 15. Tue city school committee passed a vote of censure on the master of the Nelson-street school for severity m the punishment of a female pupil. A gumdigger named Hugh McCulioch made an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide at Tokatoka by hanging. Wellington, May 15. A young woman named Stratford is missing from her home at Belmont. She went m search of two cows, and did not return. Search parties have been out for a couple of days without success.
