Cairo, May 10. ■■* * despatches have been received from the Governor of Dongola, anchpuncing that the country to the southward of Debbeh is m open, rebellion, and that Khartoum is completely invested by the rebels. Mes-' — sengers-whom he had despatched to the latter place, have been unable to reach it. <; London May 11. The t)bserver this morning pubV listiesa telegram from a correspondent at Cairo, stating that orders had been received there from the Imperial Government to make preparations for the 1 despatch m October of a force of ten thousand men to relieve General ~ at Khartoum. It is further stated that Sir Garnet Wolsley will command the expedition.
