Sir George Grey.

(united press association.) Christchurch, April 20. Sir George Grey addressed fully 2500 people m Tuam-street Hall this evening, under the auspices of the Working Men's Political Association. He was received with loud cheers. He dwelt on the evils which had arisen from laud having been cut up m large estates, to the exclusion of poor men, and advocated the taxing of unearned increment of land. The following motion was carried almost unanimously: — "That this meeting 1 having heard Sir George Grey's opinions on the present political crisis, heartily approve of them, and believe that the future welfare of the colony depends on the carrying out of the principles therein expressed, and recognise m Sir George Grey the most fitting leader for the purpose of doing so.
