The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 29 th ultimo : — Wool. — The sales opened this day at an average decline of 5 per. cent, on last sales' closing 1 rates, except for crossbred sorts, which are firmer. Up to date, 360,000 bales have ai rived, but 400,000 bales will lie admissable; 60,000 bales have been aerifc to the manufacturing districts direct. Wheat. — The opening catalogue contained 8600 sacks. The market is quiet. Adelaide is worth 43s 6d, and New Zealand 39s 6d, per 4961 b, Adelaide, f.a.q., is worth, c.i.f, to arrive, 41s per 4801 b. Tallow. — Market quiet. Mutton is worth 40s, and bt'et 375, per cwt. Leather. — The market is firm. Best, side* are worth Jl^d per lb. New Zealand Hemp. — Market quiet. Fine quality is worth .£27 per ton, nominally.
