A plot to destroy the Parliament buildings m this city has been frustrated. Several powerful dynamite cartridges with fuses attached ready for firing were discovered this evening m the basement of the buildings, and were promptly destroyed. The affair caused intense excitement here. No clue to the guilty parties have yet been obtained.
