About 45 years ago there was a baker m Paisley, behind whose counter might be seen at times three fine strapping young ladies, his daughters. They were courted, by three young men resident m the town, each of whom had his way to make m the world. It would be hard to find a parallel to this modern ' romance of real life.' One of the ladies is Mm Arthur, who has been several times elected for the Paisley School Board.
