A Certain Cure.
Mr J. A Duthie has hit upon a very ingenious plan for curing dogs of their sheep - worrying propensities. Being himself the owner of an animal which has too frequently given striking evi-* dences of its appreciation for young lamb and tender mutton. Mr Duthie has spared neither time nor money m endeavouring to discover a means of curing this sporting nature of hi» i\ag t His labors have at last been rewarded. Mr Duthie assures uV the cure k most effectual, and can confidently recommend it to any one possessed of a dog of the .y*ine taste and disposition as his own. Thi* is how he mauaged. Theother day he purchased a tough olehram with long cuily hornY for ten shillings. To the horns of this" animal he attached oue end of a rope five feet long and te the other end' mV j mad'e' fast the dog's collar (the collar being round the dog's neck).; j When, e'verytnirig' was "made fast, he cleared, and then the fun began. The old. ram immediately began buating-, and kept it up with great vigor for full three minutes. After that time, the dog Vceased to show any signs of resistance, and m fact hasn't sh6wn any up to the r present time.
